When I create my sketches I am just looking for a seed of an idea. The drawings are very rough, basic and simple.

Once I start the painting then proceed to create the art based on a "whatever happens, happens" type of painting philosophy.

Compare the initial sketch idea with the finished painting.

The sketch is quite rough and it was the big eyes and long, curving pony tail that got me to create a painting from the idea.
